For this weeks reading task I had to create an author bio and talk about my chapter idea as well as my thoughts on how I'm doing with my chapter. 

Author Bio

My name is Eoin Harrington. I am a 22 year old creative digital media student in ITB. I am in 2nd year. I am hoping to get into filmmaking when I am finished college. I enjoy drawing, watching films and TV shows and listening to music. My favourite film is Pulp Fiction. I take lots of inspiration from Quentin Tarantino. My favourite TV show is The Sopranos and I like all sorts of music however my favourite genre would be pop punk as well as rap. Some of my favourite artists would include Green Day, Blink-182, Sum 41, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters and Eminem. I'm not much of a gamer but I do enjoy it. My favourite video games would be Grand Theft Auto and God Of War.

Chapter Topic

My chapter topic is the history of consoles. I chose this topic because I don't a lot about gaming so I decided to pick a topic that would be easy to write about and I am doing the evolution of handheld consoles for my group project so I've already done plenty of research in that area of the history of consoles. I will be going through how each of the main consoles were invented and the companies that invented these consoles.

My Thoughts 

I have mixed thoughts on how I am doing with this chapter. My peers have given me positive reviews so far however my lecturer says I need to shorten my chapter which should e easy once I figure out what information I can do without and I suppose it's better to have too much information then too little. My lecturer says that I have done a lot of research and this research was surprisingly easy enough to do so hopefully it will all work out in the end.

  My name is Eoin Harrington. I am 22 years old. I am in 2nd year in creative digital media in TUD Blanchardstown. The photo above is a picture of myself (and a pretty good one might I add). The best classes I took last semester were digital photography and storytelling and narrative. I enjoyed digital photography because I have an interest in photography and it was fairly easy and I passed it. I enjoyed storytelling because I have an interest in filmmaking and it is what I want to do when I am finished this course so I ended up with a basic idea of what it was like to actually make a film as our main assignment was to make a short film and I then passed it which made me very happy as I now feel like I might actually be good at it. My Favourite Game: Grand Theft Auto Franchise

Grand Theft Auto is an open-world action-adventure video game franchise where you play as gang members who mainly specialise in car theft hence the title Grand Theft Auto. The first Grand Theft Auto was released in 1997 and its most recent title Grand Theft Auto V was released in 2013. Grand Theft Auto V is currently the best-selling video game of all time. The franchise consists of seven main games and four expansion packs. I like the whole concept of these games. I like that you have the choice between playing missions and completing story mode as well as a really enjoyable free play. One of my favourite things to do during free play is police chases. Game Alpha

Image from my game This week I have continued working on my game like I have been doing every week. So far I have been enjoying the process of making the game. I decided since I have limited time to just make my game simple rather than stressing myself out to make a brilliant game. So far I have my player moving and my crates disappearing however I'm still having issues ending my game. Strangely enough when I type in my game over code my crates just disappear without me even moving my player. Once I manage to end my game I feel like I will be ready to wrap it up so the sooner I get these issues fixed the better.
